We recently returned from a fantastic trip up north. Asa had a blast with his extended family and it still amazes me how quickly he's picked up on how everyone is related to one another. It's really neat because, up until last year, he didn't have any experience with grandparents, cousins, aunts or uncles.
We went to Gatlinburg and Asa got to see his first taffy-pulling machine! He also got to play in a cool mountain stream for the first time. Eventually, there won't be any more "firsts" but until then, I'll probably keep posting all the new things he experiences!
Also, our family is growing: Asa will have a new brother-in-law in March!!
Our beautiful daughter, Ally, is getting married and we are absolutely thrilled. God answered all the prayers we've always had for her future husband and we are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for this precious, young couple!
Even if they are still young, I think it is so important to pray for your children's future spouses. It's amazing to see how God honors those prayers and how they eventually come to fruition. It makes me wonder about the little girl that will someday be Asa's wife...

Congrats to you daughter and I can't believe how BIG Asa is now!
congrats. How encouraging to hear God answer your prayers. May you all walk in His care and protection.
Asa is such a handsome boy!
Congratulations to your daughter, they make a beautiful couple!
I totally understand what you are saying about praying for the spouse before they are even know of, I did this for my future husband before I even met him. All the while he was doing the same for me too! :D
I'm in the pic with all the kids in front of my big sister.
