Still Nothing...

Yesterday marked seven months in IBESR. I know that there are others who have been in even longer than us. We keep hearing that all these files are going to be exiting "any time now" or "later this week." Those rumors have been around for a while, now, so I'm sure that when we finally get word that we're out - I'll be in utter disbelief.

It's easy to get down, even when we make a point of doing fun things together as a family. Those should be happy times, but they really do remind us that we have a sweet little two year old who is missing. Even so, we're trying to enjoy these moments and not "wish our lives away" as we hope for Asa's arrival. Miss Chloe turned seven last week (hard to believe!) and will be having a birthday party this weekend. Allyson returned from her trip to Brazil and we're so happy to have her home. The kids have been spending a lot of time in the pool because the Florida weather has been fabulous (sorry Ohio people). And we have an exciting family getaway planned for mid-May. So even though the posts lately have been kind of dreary (sorry!) we are hanging in there, trying to stay busy & just praying that we get some good news soon.

Thanks for all the sweet and encouraging comments that have been left lately!

Pool hmmm. We are only about seven hours away....

We are at 8 mo. now. We have set goals to accomplish before the twins get home to keep us focused but it's hard not to think, "Wouldn't it be fun to bring the twins to this zoo, park, beach etc."

Oh Beth. I truly believe your O is doing everything they can to bring Asa home. When dealing with such corruption and a country that cannot even feed its people, adoption is tough. It will happen. Believe in the ONE that brought you to it.

i wish i could run down there and speed them up for you! Keep posting. even though you feel you have nothing new to share; there are many others out there in your shoes who will draw a lot of encouragement just knowing they are not alone.

It's been 8 months for us. This has been the longest "week" I've ever experienced. I don't believe any rumor... I seriously need a vacation. And we just planned one today. I can't wait to "get away"!

We're hangin' with you.

Beth,
This has been a hard week for us too! Seven months on the 28th and still counting. We think of you often, remembering our trip in Dec.

We are going back in June with Vivian leading the trip, traveling with Kristi and Nate, and Tiffany and Mike. If there is anything you want has to take, let us know. Of course tons of hugs for Asa.

It's getting frustrating isn't it? Feels like we are getting the run around. I've heard that some files are back from dispense but Mdm B hasn't signed them yet. Another report says she's on vacation! Let's get on with it even!!

Waiting is so hard. I just mailed off new docs for our adoption. I hope it is the last time. Hang in there.

Waiting with you - for you - for all of you. I have fears that our adoptions will never go through and we'll never be able to leave Haiti as a family --- but at least TODAY I can hold Phoebe -- what you are going through is much much more difficult.

Hi Beth;

Sorry you are still in waiting position with your adoption. The good thing is that your prayer life must be awesome. Empty arms (like my empty womb) certainly puts you on your knees.

Happy birthday and so glad you are being blessed with your weather. Ct is a bit cool still, though my garden is beginning to show signs of life.

big hug and prayers!
